Internal messages

Internal messages widget

  • Formerly, internal messages were available from the Clients / Message board tab. This tab was removed from the system in version 5.19 beta 1, though. Internal messages are now available from the Internal messages widget in Dashboard. The widget can be displayed in the Overview and Admin tabs.
  • To be able to use this widget, you need to have the Internal messages permission from the Rights for Dashboard section (Settings/ Administrators / Administrators).
  • The widget contains a button for adding a message (Add message), for showing all messages (All messages) and for settings (Settings).
  • The widget displays information about the message subject, the user that created the message, the creation date and time and the message category. When you click on the message subject, the entire message appears.

Add message

  • When you click on the Add message button, a form for adding a message appears.
  • The Name, Subject and Message fields are required. The rest is not.
  • If you choose a category (field Category), the message is assigned to that category.
  • If you choose a color (field Color), the color is used in the overview to distinguish the message from others.

All messages

  • When you click on the All messages button, a table appears that contains all the messages saved to the system.
  • You can filter the data in the table by category (filter Category) and you can also use the full-text search feature (field Full-text).
  • Also available are buttons for adding a message (Add message), editing a message (Edit) and deleting a message (Delete).
  • If you would like to return to Dashboard, click on the Back button.

Settings

  • When you click on the Settings button, a table appears that contains message categories along with information on how many messages fall into each category.
  • You can add a category (Add category), edit a category (Edit) and delete a category (Delete).
  • You cannot delete a category that is assigned to at least one message (greyed-out icon in the Action column).
  • If you would like to return to Dashboard, click on the Back button.
